Monday

1:00 - 2:30 PM: Animal Therapy Come meet our wonderful Handlers and Dogs who are trained to provide you with comfort and stress relief. A Hub Peer Supporter will also be present to answer any questions you may have about the Student Wellness Hub and its services and to provide peer support and health navigation.

2:00 - 3:00 PM: Skills for Managing Stress & Anxiety Join this workshop to acquire the skills to effectively cope with stress and feel comfortable utilizing these skills when needed.

Tuesday

10:00 - 11:30 AM: Skills for Managing Exam Anxiety Interested in learning how to cope more effectively with the stress and anxiety of exams? Join this workshop to acquire the skills to better manage exam anxiety and feel comfortable utilizing these skills when needed.

10:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Art Hive Open Studio Join us to re-imagine and co-create a place where artistic expression flourishes. Let’s share a space where you can play and explore your imagination, gather, and make spontaneous connections through your involvement.

7:00 PM: The Jewish Story in Comedy and Literature (Zoom) A lecture hosted by Temple Emanu-el-beth Sholom featuring award-winning author Dr. Dara Horn and Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Alex Edelman. The conversation will be led by Rabbi Grushcow.

Wednesday

12:00 - 1:30 PM: MORSL Gardening Group is a safe place to show up as your full spiritual and emotional self, talk about life, and connect with nature. Snacks and gardening gloves are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own if you want. Email us at morsl [at] mcgill.ca (subject: Gardening%20Team)  to RSVP. We'll meet at 3610 McTavish 36-2 and outside the front door of our building in the garden plot.

6:00 PM: Supper and Bible Study with St. Martha's Chapel.

2:30 - 4:00 PM: Distress Tolerance Workshop Distress tolerance is a core skill that is useful in times of crisis. This 2-session workshop will teach you concrete skills such as radical acceptance, improving the moment, and self-soothing to better cope in challenging/stressful situations. Please plan on attending both dates.

Thursday

1:30 - 3:00 PM: CBT for Anxiety & Depression Session 2. This 90 minute workshop consisting of two sessions will introduce students to a variety of cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques to help manage anxiety and mood, including strategies for relaxation, managing stress, and achieving more balanced thinking.

3:30 - 5:00 PM: Roots & Stems: Intergenerational Storytelling Facilitated by Rach Klein and held at the Cummings Centre, Roots & Stems is a three-part workshop series designed to bring different generations together through art, storytelling, and shared experiences! Welcoming those aged 16-35 and 50+ to share and learn from each other, this series is open to all - no previous art experience needed!

5:00 - 7:00 PM: Cooking Workshop: Turkish Lentil balls and chickpea flour flatbread For ages 16-35. Come join Dustin in the kitchen at L'Annexe for the next cooking workshop, which will feature two different vegetarian/vegan-friendly Mediterranean delights: Turkish red lentil balls in lettuce wraps (mercimek köftesi) and chickpea flour flatbread (socca). We provide all of the ingredients and supplies that you'll need! Please be sure to register so that we can plan for you.

11:00 AM - 2:00 PM: Summer Social: Lachine Canal and Atwater Market Visit with International Student Services. Join us to discover Montreal’s Lachine Canal where history and urban charm meet. Enjoy a lovely walk on a bright Saturday morning along the waterway and breathe in the vibrant atmosphere of Atwater Market with numerous local flavors and fresh products.
