World Teachers’ Day

On World Teachers’ Day, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the dedicated faculty who continue to inspire and challenge our learners.

When students and residents from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences come to the Steinberg Centre for Simulation and Interactive Learning, they take part in hands-on learning activities that have been thoughtfully planned and carefully designed to prepare them for real-life clinical encounters.

Whether they are refining their technical skills using task trainers, practicing patient interactions with standardized patients, or taking part in interprofessional team training scenarios, our faculty members work with our team to create vivid opportunities for learners to face difficult situations and to make mistakes in a safe environment, without risk to patients.

On World Teachers’ Day, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the dedicated faculty who continue to inspire and challenge our learners. Your tireless efforts ensure that our students acquire essential skills and confidence in their abilities so that they can offer the best possible care to our community.

During the challenges that we have faced together over the last six months, you have shown exemplary resilience in your ability to pivot and explore new ways to use technology and online learning strategies. Thanks to your leadership, we can continue to offer our learners a rich and meaningful learning experience and help prepare them for the future. I am deeply appreciative.
