Managers in Social, Community and Correctional Services (NOC 0314)

This unit group includes managers who plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the programs and activities of social service and community agencies, correctional institutions, counselling departments, labour organizations, professional associations, political parties and non-governmental organizations.

There was an enormous increase in the number of managerial jobs in community services and non-profit associations, whereas the number remained relatively stable for government and government-related sectors. Given that the trends that caused this sharp upward trend appear to have now peaked, it is expected that the number of managers in social, community and correctional services will increase only slightly over the next few years, but at a slower pace than before. Learn more
