Please review the information and links below carefully as you prepare for your first semester.


Registration and Program Information

Registration: 

  • All graduate students must register for the mandatory registration confirmation course REGN RCGR for the Summer 2024 term (CRN 910) via Minerva. Registration details can be found here.
  • Review the course requirements for the MSc and the PhD and add the needed courses to your record
  • Activate your official McGill email address, check it regularly, and use this email when contacting faculty, staff or offices at McGill.
  • Obtain your student ID card


Letter of Understanding: 

  • All incoming students must meet with their Supervisor prior to the start of the Fall semester to review and sign the Letter of Understanding together.
  • Once this has been completed, email a copy to the gradstudentaffairs.acb [at] mcgill.ca (Graduate Program Coordinator) and upload it to myProgress for approval by the Graduate Program Director. 


Funding information:

  • All students will receive guaranteed minimum funding as per the FMHS Harmonized Fund Policy until the end of MSc 2/PhD 4
  • Full details can be found on the Funding page
  • The minimum funding package for the 2024-2025 academic year for MSc students is: $22,285 Base Living Allowance + Tuition and Student Fees.
  • The minimum funding package for the 2024-2025 academic year for PhD students is: $23,785 Base Living Allowance + Tuition and Student Fees.

Payment of Student Stipends:

  • Stipends are paid monthly, starting in May. To receive your stipend, you must enter your direct deposit information in Minerva (found under the Student Accounts Menu).
     

Payment of Tuition Assistance:

  • Students receiving a Tuition Assistance Fellowship will be sent an email in April with the details of this funding. This payment will applied directly to your student fee account. You must be actively enrolled in the program in order to receive the award.
     

Mandatory Trainings:

  • Before the end of your first semester, you must complete:
  1. Academic Integrity Tutorial (found in Minerva)
  2. online sexual violence education program: It Takes All of Us
