The session 1932-33 proved to be another active and successful one for The Commercial society of McGill University.

As in the past few years the program of lunches was carried out. These were held more frequently than in the past and proved very popular. The first speaker of the session was Mr. Field, His Majesty’s Trade Commissioner in Montreal, who spoke on his work in promoting British Trade in Canada. Mr. Watt, of the Montreal Tramways Company, gave a very interesting and instructive talk at the second meeting. He described the organization and internal management of the company. At the luncheon in December Mr. Weber, district manager of the Bell Telephone Company, delivered an address on the problems of his work and how they are met. It is planned to hold at least two more meetings before the end of the term. The speakers at these will in all probability be representatives of one of the large department stores of the city and of one of the railways. This year a Faculty Banquet was held. Instead society sponsored informal class dinners which proved more enjoyable.
