The B.A.(Education); Major in Education in Global Contexts is designed for those who want to take on the role of an educator in non-traditional contexts; in non-profit, government, business, and other career sectors. Students will be learning alongside world-recognized scholars to use the insights provided by educational research to facilitate learning and foster social justice.

One of the cornerstones of this program is a semester-long internship that gives students hands-on experience and builds professional networks for career opportunities. McGill has a broad network of partners that encourages students to work in collaborative and interdisciplinary environments. Students in this program will be supported by course instructors, advisors, and administrators in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE). More information on the requirements of the internship component of the program can be found on the Office of Internships and Student Affairs (ISA) website. In addition to being a part of a department that fosters a sense of community and mentorship, students can also benefit from the resources and events organized by Office of Internships and Student Affairs (ISA) and the Education Undergraduate Student Society (EdUS).
