Graduate Internship Seminar Series

McGill has created a professional development support program to help students who are in a non-thesis program with a mandatory internship or research project. The practical knowledge and resources provided in this series will enable students to ensure that their internship is a valuable learning experience by helping them to clarify their professional goals and select potential internship or research sites based on their career interests and program requirements.

The Graduate Internship Seminar Series (GISS) is offered by select programs at McGill an covers topics such as:
    • Selecting an internship or research site
    • Effective strategies for applications and interviews
    • Establishing professional priorities and goals
    • Communication and teamwork skills
