Housing

On-campus housing

We offer single bedrooms in shared-facilities houses, and single occupancy apartments on the downtown campus. A limited number of graduate housing spaces are available each year. To apply, simply check off the “housing requested” box on your McGill application. Once you are admitted, you will be considered for housing.

Visit the Graduate Housing Office website for more information.

Off-campus housing

If you’re looking to find an apartment or room off-campus, try consulting the Off-Campus Housing Office. The service provides guidance and advice to help you in your search.

The Off-Campus Housing Service publishes lists of apartments for rent, apartments to share and rooms for rent in private homes. These lists are updated daily and are available online to all students who have a valid McGill ID number. The Off-Campus Housing Service website also contains information on renting in Montreal, on the lease laws for the Province of Quebec and includes links to other useful sites.

Macdonald campus housing

If you are pursuing studies at the Macdonald campus, spaces are available each year in Laird Hall and EcoResidence.

Visit the Macdonald Campus Residences website for more information.
