The McGill Clinical Innovation Competition is largely inspired by Dr. Gerald Fried, Associate Dean, Education Technology and Innovation and Director of the Steinberg Centre for Simulation and Interactive Learning, who created the successful Surgical Innovation Program and competition.

The Hakim Family Innovation Prize has been made possible thanks to the vision and support of Dr. Raymond Hakim, MDCM, PhD, McGill alumnus, and distinguished leader and professor at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Tennessee and co-founder of the Renal Care Group Inc. 

The Marika Zelenka Roy Innovation Prize is a joint initiative between philanthropist Ms. Zelenka Roy and the Montreal General Hospital Foundation, who are proud to partner together to support a clinical innovation project that aims to create a solution to an unmet need for patient care.

The MI4 Innovation Prize aims to support innovative solutions that focus on infectious and immune threats to human health. This award is sponsored by the McGill Interdisciplinary Initiative in Infection and Immunity, an initiative launched in in 2018 thanks to a visionary gift from the Doggone Foundation. 

The Bereskin & Parr Innovation Prize has been made possible thanks to Bereskin & Parr, a leading Canadian IP firm with extensive experience in all aspects of intellectual property.
