Congratulations to Dr. Sreenath Arekunnath Madathil on receiving the distinguished Gordon A. Maclachlan Prize.
Dr. Madathil is also the first Dentistry graduate to receive this award in the history of the Faculty. This prize, conferred to an outstanding McGill graduate receiving a Doctoral degree across all disciplines of the Biological and Health Sciences, recognizes the excellence and significance of their dissertation. Dr. Madathil dissertation has helped answer key questions that have eluded cancer researchers for decades. By developing innovative epidemiological methods, his dissertation provides researchers with new ways of understanding how early experiences impact the development of head and neck cancers later in life.
