Building a Data Science Ecosystem with the DataSphere Lab
Mobilizing academics, students, and industry leaders to build a platform for advancing analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions that Retail organizations of all stripes can use to improve their revenue effectiveness and reduce time to insight.
The DataSphere Lab at the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University in collaboration with the Bensadoun School of Retail Management and the Master of Management in Analytics, is a cross-faculty initiative.
Leveraging funding from the Ministère de l’Économie, de l'Innovation et de l'Énergie (MEIE) we are providing companies, students and faculty with data management, anonymization, synthetization, and other data/analytics services and support.

At the core of the transition toward a more data driven decision business model is the question:

A major challenge
A major challenge facing the transition is the lack of alignment between organizations that have the knowledge and capital to implement such a vision, and the smaller players that may not. If we all make more efficient decisions, the collective knowledge creates a tide that can lift all boats.
In response to this need, we are launching this practical project-based data-to-insights-hub with a mandate to help businesses across industries and sizes improve their data and automation outcomes.
The DataSphere Lab is dedicated to building practical, constructive, and applied solutions for key issues that plague organizations as they try to embark down the data science path.
