Research

Using acoustic analyses and other instrumental measures, we are interested in understanding the deficits underlying the impairment of the different speech subsystems as well as the interactions between them and with other cognitive processes.

We are also interested in developing efficient assessment tools for the detection and monitoring of motor speech disorders, including work with French speakers and acoustic biomarkers.

The understanding of intra-speaker and inter-speaker variability is also central to our research.

Phenotyping of motor speech and cognitive disorders in speakers with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
Characterization of motor speech impairments in primary progressive apraxia of speech (PPAOS).
Intra-speaker variability of speech production in speakers with and without speech impairments.
