Explore McGill: a day for Quebec high school and CEGEP students to explore McGill University

Branches invites Quebec high school and CEGEP students to attend Explore McGill. Discover university life and learning through a fun and inspiring day. Take part in educational workshops at McGill faculties, tour the downtown campus, and attend an admissions info-session and lunch on the beautiful McGill campus. Explore McGill allows us to introduce students to higher education and all options available to them in a safe, fun and understanding environment.

Discover why our students think YOU should Explore McGill:

It was great! All the staff and volunteers were fantastic

This program is extremely well organised and I think this was a great experience.

Everything was very enlightening!

The campus is so cool 👍

I feel more confident going into the next steps in my journey! Thank you!

“I wanted to take the time to thank your team for the lovely visit to your campus and the First People's House. This was a great way for students to get to know the campus and to feel more at home with the idea of applying there in the future.”

Outbound Explore McGill’s STEM outreach trip to Chisasibi

Branches – McGill’s Community Outreach Program – along with representatives from several STEM faculties, spent a week delivering workshops in Chisasibi, Quebec

First Outbound event launched: science and stargazing in Chisasibi

We teamed up with McGill's Trottier Space Institute to launch the first Outbound Explore McGill to Indigenous communities in Northern Quebec. We spent the week sharing knowledge and experiences with young minds, igniting a passion for science, and inspiring future generations of scientists!

Past Explore event: Branches welcomes 100 high school students to campus

Wondering what an Explore McGill event looks like? Here's an overview of the October 2022 event, how it went, workshops attended, participating schools and faculties, and more!

We've launching In Community-Explore McGill!

In-Community Explore brings the Explore experience to you! We recognize that not all schools and CEGEPs in Quebec are located near our McGill campus. We have launched this initiative to share the different areas of studies, resources and services offered at McGill with students throughout Quebec.

McGill University is on land that long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst
Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. We acknowledge
and thank the diverse Indigenous people whose footsteps have marked this territory on which
peoples of the world now gather.
