This coming year, Jaimie Cudmore will be participating in CIRM as the BMO Doctoral Fellow in residence. Her research interests and specializations regroup community-engaged learning for design and planning pedagogy, spatial justice, intersectionality, transformative design, human geography, planning and cultural landscapes.

Jaimie Cudmore is a doctoral candidate at the Peter Guo-hua Fu School of Architecture, McGill University. Their work focuses on design education and transformative modes and sites of community-engaged learning. Her research explores professional and grassroots collaborations to promote civic literacy and engagement through storytelling and art. Currently, Cudmore is one of the coordinators for an action-research project led by two non-profit organisations in Verdun, Montreal: Suspicious Fish, an intergenerational literacy and arts program, and a charitable umbrella organisation, Literacy Quebec, in partnership with the McGill University Social Equity and Diversity Education (SEDE) Office , and the Desautels Faculty of Management.
