3MT | MT180 Competition 2024

Through this competition, participants will gain valuable experience with communicating their research effectively to a wide variety of audiences, both academic and non-academic, including the wider community. Participants will undergo a training program that will equip them with the tools to craft an engaging, structured, and accessible 3-minute presentation about their thesis research.

The training and practice sessions allow participants to practice their presentations and receive constructive feedback before competition Heats.

Participants will have 3 minutes or less and a single static slide to communicate their research! Students may compete in French (MT180) or English (3MT). Winners of the heats will compete in the 3MT | MT180 Finals on April 3, 2024.

• Communicate your research to a non-specialist audience
• Structure an engaging 3-minute presentation
• Develop a slide that effectively complements your talk
• Present in front of a panel of judges and a group of your peers
