Changes to how you access Books24x7 e-books

Published: 18 January 2018

Update, January 2018: In the summer of 2017, Books24x7 was migrated to a new platform Skillsoft. As of November 2017, Books24x7 is no longer available. All content that was provided by Books24x7 is now accessible in Skillsoft. Additionally, Skillsoft has new content, including almost 40,000 videos; chapters can now be downloaded in multiple formats (epub, PDF, Kindle); and a Skillsoft app is available for easier browsing. Please update your bookmarks: https://mcgill.skillport.com/.

As of November 3, 2015, when you access a Books24x7 e-book through WorldCat Local or from a link on the Library web site, you'll be able to access the e-book simply by logging in with your McGill username (email address) and password.

You will no longer need to create or use a separate Books24x7 account to access these e-books.

IMPORTANT! If you have saved any lists to your personal folders in Books24x7, you will need to manually save those before the switchover happens on November 3, 2015. As of that date you will no longer be able to access your current Books24x7 account.

You can save your lists in Books24x7 by clicking on your personal folder and exporting the title list as either an MS Excel (.xls) or MS Word (.doc) file.
