As of Monday April 7, McGill students are able to access the Nahum Gelber Law Library 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As agreed between the Students' Society of McGill University (SSMU) and the Law Students Association (LSA), the Nahum Gelber Law Library will limit access to the three upper floors of the library to Law students only during the April 10 to 30 examination period.

On Monday, February 24, 2025 the Macdonald Campus Library will open up its Seed Library for online orders. The seed catalogue will be available to McGill students, faculty, and staff on opening day. 

If you're not yet a member of the Seed Library, please fill out the registration form.

As of January 1, 2025, corresponding authors affiliated with McGill will be able to publish an unlimited number of their articles as open access in all Royal Society of Chemistry hybrid and gold journals for the duration of the agreement (2025-2027) without paying any article processing charges (APC).

The McGill Libraries are delighted to announce that two colleagues, Dean Guylaine Beaudry and staff member Anne-Marie Fournier, were awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal in December 2024. The honour highlights the exceptional contributions of Canadians, many of whom work behind the scenes, making a significant impact on their community, their province, and sometimes even at the national and international levels.
