Construction Start: Bronfman Building - Parking infrastructure

McGill University has mandated Concreate Construction to carry out the following project: Bronfman Building / 18-089 - Infrastructure for new parking equipment.

The project consists of the reparation of the existing ramp to solve water infiltration issues and the installation of new upgraded parking infrastructure.

Construction start date: May 29, 2023

Planned construction end date: End of August 2023

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Scope of work: 

Repair of the existing ramp and temporary relocation of surface conduits. Reparations under the ramp and at storm water drains, to solve water infiltration issues. Removal of the existing parking equipment and installation of new infrastructure for upgraded parking equipment.

Impact:

The garage will be closed during construction. Computer lab 010 on the B1 level will be inaccessible during the reparations of a drain located on top of the ceiling. There will be noise during demolition and less intense during construction. Circulation of the public alley and the two parking spaces behind Armstrong might be temporarily impacted during specific dates of delivery.
