Construction start: McIntyre Medical Building - Seventh floor laboratories

McGill University has mandated NR Brosseau to carry out the following project: McIntyre Medical Building / 21-008 - JELF, Chen.

The project consists of minor renovations of laboratory rooms 712, 723 and 726.

Construction start date: July 7, 2023

Planned construction end date: End of August 2023

Work schedule: Mondays to Fridays, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Scope of work:

Partial demolition of existing finishes for new electromechanical services, such as electrical outlets, new vacuum and gas valves for research equipment. Removal of some existing furniture and additional lab work benches and wall shelves. Patching and repair work as well as painting.

Impact:

There will be an electrical shutdown, CO2 shutdown and reduced width of the 7-Hall2 for a period of two days. Users will be informed in advance of service shutdowns.
