Construction Start: MNI, Residences, Currie Gym, Milton Gate and Burnside Parking - Infrastructure for new parking equipment

McGill University has mandated Planit Construction to carry out the following project: MNI, Residences, Currie Gym, Milton Gate and Burnside Parking / 18-089 Lot 1 - Infrastructure for new parking equipment.

The project consists of infrastructure work that is required for the installation of new parking equipment for various parking lots on the McGill Downtown Campus: Montreal Neurological Institute, Residences, Milton Gate, Currie Gym and Burnside Garage.

Construction start date: November 13, 2023

Planned construction end date: December 22, 2023

Work schedule: Mondays to Fridays, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Scope of work: Installation at multiple locations on the downtown campus of infrastructure necessary to operate new parking equipment.

Impact:

One lane of the road will be closed at a time, for the duration of the works for MNI, Residences and Milton Gate. Currie Gym and Burnside Garages will be closed for the public during the works.

Possible noise disturbances during the first day of demolition. Possible slowdown of traffic few times, during the days of excavation and concrete pour.
