Dr. Mindy R. Carter, DISE, Receives the Johnny Saldaña Outstanding Professor of Theatre Education Award and the American Association of Theatre Education Distinguished Book Honorable Mention Award

Dr. Mindy R. Carter, DISE, has received both the Johnny Saldaña Outstanding Professor of Theatre Education Award from the American Association of Theatre Education, and the American Association of Theatre Education Distinguished Book Honorable Mention Award for her University of Toronto Press book “Smallest Circles First”.

The Johnny Saldaña Outstanding Professor of Theatre Education Award recognizes a university professor who has demonstrated excellence in all of the following areas: teaching, research and/or creative activity, and service.

The American Association of Theatre Education Distinguished Book Honorable Mention Award honors an author and publisher for an outstanding book that enhances the field of theatre education.

The awards will be presented at the AATE Conference in July 2023.
