Introducing the #McGillEdAtHome Challenge

Published: 3 April 2020

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

During the past three weeks, you have received a lot of information from McGill University and from this Faculty with regard to important directives, new protocols, and other COVID-19 safety instructions. Now that we have managed to adapt to remote instruction and learning, working from home, and other major challenges, we would like to invite you to be part of an online dialogue to help rebuild the connections within our community. Presenting the #McGillEdAtHome Challenge:

How to Participate:

1. This #McGillEdAtHome social movement is to create safe and positive spaces for sharing. It’s a “come as you are” invitation to students, faculty, staff, and alum to talk about your experiences and to give advice to others.

2. As the current COVID-19 directives are to stay at home, you must video from inside your home (or wherever you are currently residing). Please limit your video to 2 minutes or less. (1 minute or less for Instagram.)

3. Post using and/or tagging the McGill Education Facebook Page, Twitter, and Instagram using the hashtags #McGillEdAtHome and #McGillEducation. Nominate other McGillians to take part to keep the campaign going!

4. Content needs to be appropriate for general public viewing and in compliance with Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram content regulations. Note that all videos and comments will be reviewed and monitored by McGill’s Faculty of Education Marketing and Communications Team.

We're looking forward to getting social with all of you!
