A straight shot from Calgary to New Delhi

Thousands of citizens in Calgary have signed a petition asking major airlines to establish a direct flight to New Delhi, India. A new route, they argue, would help meet the business and recreational travel needs of a rapidly growing South Asian community in Alberta’s largest city. Currently, travelers to New Delhi must catch a connecting flight in Vancouver or Toronto. According to Professor Karl Moore, the airlines’ decision could go either way depending on whether or not there are enough consistent travelers to make the flight route profitable.
