Annual Conference on Canada and the United States

This year, the conference focuses on the Canada - U.S. relationship. Scheduled for March 24-25, 2011, Canada and the United States: Conversations and Relations will include a series of conversations between Canadian and American counterparts about particular aspects of the Canada - U.S. relationship.  For this event, the Institute’s approach is unique such that the conference will not include podiums or formal presentations; rather, we will encourage informal conversations each led by a moderator. The goal is for each speaker to discuss how decisions are made vis-à-vis their counterpart, what outside interests may influence their decision-making, and the complexities and challenges of managing the relationship day-to-day.
