The traditionally male-dominated world of business education – particularly on Master of Business Administration (MBA) courses – is going through a major change as more and more women join the ranks – spear-headed by those in Asia, research shows.
... Even Japan – which is known to have very few females in senior positions, such as commerce, industry, and government – is bucking-the-trend as the MBA programme in Tokyo, which is run by Canada’s Desautels Faculty of Management, is almost half female.

Henry Mintzberg, who has authored several books on business and management, however notes that an MBA, for instance, gives one the tools but not leadership ability and that such degrees can even be counterproductive as they tend to reduce the importance of gut feeling and emotional intelligence.

Almost eight million children in India are severely malnourished and have nine times higher risk of death compared to normal children. These children deserve to live. In January 2015 over 100 organisations and individuals collectively urged the government to take action and save the lives of children with Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) through the Generation Nutrition Campaign.

After winning the McGill Dobson Cup, World Wide Hearing received a $113,000 grant from Grand Challenges Canada to pilot its hearing aid delivery model, Hearing Express. In 2013-2014, the pilot project was run in Kraimeh, a rural community in Western Jordan, in collaboration with a new outreach centre for children with disabilities. Over the course of the project, Hearing Express female technicians visited Jordanian households and held hearing camps to provide affordable hearing aids to people who need them, validating the model.

It is possible to be too successful as an immigrant group. Scholars of migration studies have come to identify a pattern of immigrant groups that are so successful that they assimilate into their new countries to the point of disappearing altogether, because overtime their outcome is such that they simply cannot be distinguished from the local population.
