McGill SCS Certificate and Diploma in Supply Chain Management now accredited by Supply Chain Canada.

Graduates of the McGill SCS Certificate in Supply Chain Management and Logistics and the Diploma in Supply Chain and Operations Management will now be eligible for advanced standing towards the Supply Chain Management Professional™ (SCMP™) Designation Program thanks to an agreement with Supply Chain Canada concluded in October 2020.

The SCMP™ designation is Canada's principal and most sought-after professional designation for those entering the supply chain profession and advancing as leaders in this fast-growing field. In addition to providing applied learning that aims to make an immediate impact on applicants’ skills and work performance, the SCMP™ designation enables individuals working to advance their supply chain management careers to stand out as professionals able to help organizations achieve a competitive edge.

To obtain the designation, graduates of the Certificate or Diploma must first make an RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) application and pay a non-refundable application fee ($500.00 for Supply Chain Canada members and $750.00 for non-members which includes a one-year membership). Once notified of their advanced standing, the graduate can then apply for admission into the SCMP™ designation program and:

  • Complete any required coursework
  • Attend the SCMP Leadership Residency
  • Write the SCMP National Exam
