Biography

Senior IoT Data Scientist at Mnubo, Nathanael is developing custom solutions for clients. His aim is to customize data pipeline and Machine learning algorithms and provide insights to customers. He is involved in problem definition with clients, prototyping, production and maintaining the solution. Nathanael is an expert in productization using both big data solution and machine learning algorithm. Since 2006, Nathanael has been using machine learning algorithms to tackle a large variety of problems, such as drug design, side effect prediction, computational biology, finance, security, precision agriculture, crime forecast, and predictive maintenance.

In 2009, Nathanael completed his PhD in pharmaceutical sciences. He focused his research on computational methods to predict activities of new molecules and drugs side effects using machine-learning algorithms. Dr. Weill joined McGill University for Post-Doc in Chemistry department. His main topic was to apply computational methods to discover new drugs for Parkinson’s disease. From 2011 to 2014, Dr. Weill joined the University of Montréal to apply his research to understanding and predicting gene regulation networks. Between 2014 and 2017, Dr. Weill joined Via Science as a Data Scientist. The focus of his work was to deliver custom data pipelines to clients. Those pipelines involved automatic steps to derive predictions from raw data. In May 2017, Dr. Weill joined the company Mnubo as an IoT Data Scientist.

Dr. Weill is a member of the program advisory group and a course lecturer in Data Science & Applied AI programs at McGill’s School of Continuing Studies.
