Students can be accepted into the program in September (Fall semester), January (Winter semester), or May (Summer semester), however students are strongly encouraged to apply for admission in the Fall Semester. Many funding opportunities such as differential fee waivers are only available to students entering the program in September, and the flow of coursework is designed to begin at that time.

The deadline to fast-track to the PhD program in the Fall semester is March 15.

- Review our MSc Thesis program pages, admission requirements, and researchers' profiles. Applicants must secure a supervisor before they can be accepted into the program. The following researchers are actively recruiting MSc students: Paul Allison, Pascaline Kengne Talla, Ji Zhang, Marc McKee, Sabrina Wurzba, Natalie Reznikov, Marc O. Martel (Fall only), Belinda Nicolau (Fall only), Simon Tran, and Thomas Nguyen. Other researchers may also be accepting students.

- Submit an application via McGill's admissions platform. Please note that our graduate programs assess applicants on a continuous basis. Any application that is completed on the Admissions platform will be available to all supervisors in our Faculty for review. Candidate selection for this program is highly competitive; it is in your best interest to submit your application as soon as the application cycle opens. If you wish to work with a specific researcher(s) please indicate their name or names in your online application, as this will allow your application to be prioritized by these professors first.
Funding opportunities are limited and very competitive, and they cannot be guaranteed.
The application fee cannot be waived.
