There should be very little doubt in your minds that you are graduating under the most favourable economic conditions. Canada’s industrial growth and development is proceeding at an unprecedented pace and the need for educated and trained university graduates is evidence by the number of opportunities which have already been offered to you by firms visiting the campus. Their expansion programs, both in the construction and the planning stages, augur well for the continued progress of our economy.

You are now choosing the direction of your life’s work. The staff of the School of Commerce hope that your choice will be a wise one, commanding your solid and complete conviction and based upon the University years in which you expanded and developed the background and criteria which would enable you to choose effectively. Accept the responsibility of that choice, concentrate upon the chosen path and seek to build as rich a life as possible.

Our best wishes go with you.

Eric W. Kierans, Director
School of Commerce
