3 Programs for Better Access to Safe and Equitable Health and Social Services for Quebec English-Speaking Communities

  1. LANGUAGE TRAINING PROGRAMĀ 

    Gives French-speaking professionals already working with English-speaking clients the opportunity to increase their proficiency in English.

    Gives English-speaking providers the opportunity to improve their ability to communicate in French within the health and social services network, where French is the working language.

    Gives English-speaking health and social services students the opportunity to have the French language skills to work in Quebec in health institutions.

    Gives French-speaking health and social services students the opportunity to have the English language skills to provide safe clinical interventions to English-speaking clientele.

  2. RETENTION INCENTIVES PROGRAMĀ 

    Provides initiatives to make it easier for Quebec health and social services institutions to recruit and retain recent graduates capable of providing services in both French and English.

    Empowers community networks to partner with Dialogue McGill for recruitment and retention of healthcare and social workers in their region/community by promoting these initiatives within the community and supporting students who wish to be part of the pool of available human resources.

  3. RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMĀ 

    Supports research that adds to the body of knowledge regarding means to reduce barriers to access to services in English.
