Follow-up interview
If you agreed to participate in the follow-up portion of the study, you will be contacted between October and December 2015. If, at the time of the first, second or third interview, you did not agree to participate in the follow-up, but would now like to participate, please contact us.
Phase 1 details
We have recruited more than 2000 participants between June 2011 and December 2011.
Here are the basic characteristics of our current sample;
-65% are married.
-40% have less than high school graduation.
-40% are retired.
-42% earn between $15,000-$50,000 dollars.
-51% are female.
-Average age is 60.5 years old.
January 2016
The interviewing phase is completed.
December 2014
The interviewing phase is completed.
December 2013
The interviewing phase is completed.
December 2012
The interviewing phase is completed.
February 2012
The EDIT clinical study has started and recruitment is finished.
December 2011
The recruitment and interviewing phase is completed, 2029 participants are included in the final sample.
May 2011
Recruitment for the EDIT study is due to commence.
March 2011
We have been granted ethics approval by the Research Ethics Board of the Douglas Mental Health University Institute.
July 2010
We have been granted funding by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research to carry out a study looking at diabetes, treatment and well-being.
