From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

The Faculty of Education would like to congratulate the recipients the 2019–2020 R.E. Wilkinson Award and Dan Q. Marisi Award!

The R.E. Wilkinson Award

Awarded annually to a student who has obtained the B.Ed/B.Sc. degree (Physical Education or Kinesiology) from McGill entering a graduate program in the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education who best combines academic merit and exceptional professional leadership.

The 2019–2020 R.E. Wilkinson Award recipient is:

Evan Jette – Supervisor: Dr. Charlotte Usselman
“Evaluating Cardiorespiratory Responses to Slow Breathing in Young Healthy Individuals: FitBit “Relax Mode” versus RESPeRATE.”

The Dan Q. Marisi Award

Awarded by the Department of Kinesiology & Physical Education to a graduate student (Masters or Doctorate) in Sport and Exercise Psychology, for academic merit, conference attendance and presentations, research publications, and community service in sport and exercise psychology.

The 2019–2020 Dan Q. Marisi Award recipient is:

Danielle Alexander – Supervisor: Dr. Gordon Bloom
“The Development and Evaluation of a Coach Mentorship Program in Elite Parasport.”
