From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Dr. Gigi Luk Explores Learning Disruption During COVID-19

Dr. Gigi Luk of McGill Education's Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology has recently been involved in discussions with the National Academy of Education (NAEd) in the U.S. regarding educational inequities during COVID-19. The NAEd recently published a report exploring the effects of school disruption with regard to children's academic progress and social-emotional development as well as highlighting the more severe impact this disruption had on students in disadvantaged communities. Dr. Luk continues her work with the NAEd as a panelist for the upcoming forum "Reading Instruction in the COVID-19 Era" on Wednesday, September 9th, 12:00 - 1:30 pm. Click here for more info and to register.
