EMF Home Directory Policy

EMF home directory policy:

a) For students who are graduating/graduated:

The contents of your EMF home directory will be purged approximately six (6) months after your last official registered term.
e.g.
If you have graduated in the Fall term (ending DEC 31st) your EMF home directory will be deleted after JUN 30th.
If you have graduated in the Winter term (ending APR 30th) your EMF home directory will be deleted after OCT 31st.

It is the student’s responsibility to backup/copy/transfer any files upon graduating.

* Once purged, a restore request can only be processed if deemed valid/legitimate (upon evaluation on a per case basis); otherwise no restore requests will be accepted.

 

b) For students who officially withdraw from the University (and/or stop taking classes):

The contents of your EMF home directory will be purged approximately six (6) months after your last registered term.
If files are needed, it is the student’s responsibility to contact EMF to make arrangements for copying/transferring any files.

* Once purged, a restore request can only be processed if deemed valid/legitimate (upon evaluation on a per case basis); otherwise no restore requests will be accepted.

 

c) For students who have been approved/authorized EMF access (outside of Engineering/Architecture/Urban Planning)

For a course, the contents of your EMF home directory will be purged approximately six (6) months after your last active term.
It is the student’s responsibility to backup/copy/transfer any files before the end of the active term.
Or the student’s responsibility to contact EMF to make arrangements for copying/transferring any files after the end of term (before the six (6) month period)

* Once purged, a restore request can only be processed if deemed valid/legitimate (upon evaluation on a per case basis); otherwise no restore requests will be accepted.
