From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Metonymy Press is the 2023 Richler Writer-in-Residence at McGill's Department of English!

The Department of English is thrilled to invite you to a Roundtable on small press publishing in Canada featuring Oliver Fugler and Ashley Fortier of Metonymy Press, David Bradford of House House Press, Eloisa Aquino of B&D Press, and Ashley Opheim of Metatron Press. With a focus on English-language small (sometimes micro) presses in Montreal, this panel will discuss how such presses build community, how to transform a passion project into something sustainable and the challenges that come along with this, and the benefits such intimate models afford for (trying to) stay true to your mandate.
