Kayla Penteliuk is a Ph.D. candidate and course lecturer in nineteenth- and twentieth-century literature at McGill University in Montréal, Quebec. Her work has appeared in the Literary Review of Canada and Tulsa Studies in Women’s Literature. She is writing her dissertation on comedic subgenres and deviant female identities (witches, spinsters, Bohemians, and more) in women-authored British middlebrow novels.
