Biography:

I am a FRQSC Postdoctoral Fellow currently working on women’s film festivals and the geopolitics of feminism. I graduated from La Sapienza University of Rome, Italy with a BA in Literature and Performing Arts and I completed my MA with Honors in Film Studies at the University of Roma Tre after two exchange programs at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris 3 and at Université de Montréal. My Ph.D. dissertation, completed at Concordia University, examined recent practices and developments of feminist film culture that have emerged in Quebec during the past 20 years within Francophone milieus of production and distribution from the larger framework of global media circulation. My research interests focus on feminist film theory, transnational approaches to film studies, and reception practices. I speak English, French, and Italian.
