The FEMR is governed in accordance with a common set of policies and regulations established by McGill University for research centres and specialized facilities. This enables a seamless integration of services and ensures the infrastructure develops into a strong, consolidated, well‐managed platform capable of providing high‐quality specialist services to the research community in academia, government institutions and industry/commercial sectors. A universal quality plan mandates the preparation of an annual report and periodic review with internal oversight for independent appraisal in order to examine and evaluate the activities of the FEMR.
