Zachary Loewenstein received his M.S. degree in biomedical engineering from Tufts University in Medford, MA after completing master’s research on optogenetic neuromodulation in rats and then studied endocrine cancers at Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, NY before coming to the IPN. His research is co-supervised by Dr. Birgit Frauscher and Dr. Christophe Grova and is primarily focused on electrical source localization in epilepsy and how best to identify epileptogenic zones in the brain.
