MIGS (McGill Interdisciplinary Geriatic Seminars)

McGill Interdisciplinary Geriatric Rounds began in the late 1970s in order to provide learning and networking opportunities for multidisciplinary professionals working in a new and exciting medical specialty in McGill’s geriatric community. These Friday morning rounds were well-attended and assisted us all in our early Geriatric practices by imparting practical and useful information to help improve our clinical interventions.

Over the years, as the field grew so did educational and networking opportunities. Although presentations were still timely and relevant, our expertise had developed such that mere 45 minute lectures no longer met our learning needs. We realized in order to continue to attract our audience we had to change our format.

McGill Interdisciplinary Geriatric Rounds has been replaced with McGill Interdisciplinary Geriatric Seminars (MIGS). Instead of 6 hourly lectures, we will be presenting one in-depth, detailed seminar on an annual basis.
