Knowledge exchange and potential impact

The overall aim of the Consortium partners for KTE is to support research and education towards innovation in health care via promotion and implementation of sex and gender analysis (“gender dimension”). Following research and educational strategies, the Consortium partners will encourage, promote and communicate integration of sex and gender analysis in experimental and patient-orientated research, and in education at all levels (i.e., undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, specialized continuing education, and early career investigators for health care providers, decision makers and the public).

Educational activities

Sex and gender dimensions in education and training will include face-to-face and online modules, tools and workshops designed to improve health outcomes across non-communicable diseases. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of implementing methods of sex/gender analysis, to make research gender sensitive, and to stimulate innovations in science, medicine and technology. We will draw from existing educational courses/resources on gender medicine and gender dimensions in biomedical and clinical research from Austria, Sweden and Canada.
