Upcoming Indigenous Events at McGill
Tomas Jirousek (Kainai; an Indigenous studies student, the SSMU Indigenous Affairs Commissioner, and member of the Varsity Rowing Team) is organizing a demonstration in support of the SSMU vote for changing the name of the men's varsity team name on October 31st. Changing the "Redmen" name was an immediately-term goal in the Provost's Taskforce on Indigenous studies and Indigenous education that was completed in 2017.
