Carotid Endarterec­tomy

CAROTID ENDARTEREC­TOMY: Sur­gi­cal tech­nique to remove ath­er­o­scle­rotic plaque and fatty deposits from the carotid artery in order to restore blood flow to the brain. This pre­ven­ta­tive pro­ce­dure sig­nif­i­cantly reduces the risk of future stroke.
