Our partners beyond the university represent two organizational ‘tiers’:
- Indigenous local and regional government entities and community-based organizations (CBOs).
- NGOs working closely with the former on issues of environment, development and indigenous rights.
The INSTEAD project currently has seven confirmed indigenous partners from accross the americas and three NGO partners. We expect our research team to grow in size and scope as the project progresses. At a later stage, when we have identified the critical opportunities, we will be adding a ‘third tier’ of state and transnational governmental partners.
