Dr. and Mrs. Hirsh Rosenfeld Scholarship in Jewish Studies

Established in 1986 to commemorate an act of kindness by Sir Edward Beatty, then Chancellor of McGill University.

Eligibility Awarded by the Faculty of Education’s Committee on Student Affairs to an incoming or continuing student studying Jewish Education on the recommendation of the Coordinator of the Jewish Education Programs. If in any year there is no suitable candidate at the undergraduate level, consideration may be given to a graduate student.

Morton and Bernice Brownstein Fellowship in Jewish Studies

Established in 1999 by Morton and Bernice Brownstein.

Eligibility Fellowship will be awarded by the Department of Jewish Studies to a graduate student or a postdoctoral candidate in the Department of Jewish Studies.

Simon and Ethel Flegg Postdoctoral Fellowships

Established in 2012 by the Estate of Simon Flegg.

Eligibility To promote excellence in teaching for postdoctoral scholars in Jewish Studies. Awarded by the Faculty of Arts upon recommendation of the Chair of the Department of Jewish Studies on the basis of academic merit.
