Samit & Reshma Sharma Excellence Award in Mechanical Engineering

Established in 2023 by the Samit & Reshma Sharma Foundation to celebrate Canada's first mechanical engineering program, officially inaugurated at McGill University in 1873. It is hoped that the award will enhance societal knowledge and practices in human-machine interactions.

Eligibility Awarded by the Faculty of Engineering annually on the basis of academic merit to one of its outstanding graduate student enrolled in a Master’s program pursuing research under the supervision of a professor within the Department of Mechanical Engineering. To receive the award the student must consent to their name being included in written or online communications of the Samit & Reshma Sharma Foundation.
