Saying goodbye to Professor H. Patrick Glenn (1940-2014)

Above all, I remember his laughter and the mischievous twinkle in his eye. He would say something uniquely insightful, and immediately cover it up with a chuckle. Only later would one realize the depth of his learning, as layers upon layers of wisdom emerged from a casual conversation in the hallway.

Inaugural Spiegel Sohmer Tax Policy Colloquium

The Faculty of Law and the Stikeman Chair in Tax Law are pleased to announce the creation of the Spiegel Sohmer Tax Policy Colloquium, to be hosted annually at McGill University starting this Fall 2014 term.

New Faces at the Faculty for Fall 2014

The Faculty is delighted to welcome three new members of the Law community this fall: Professor Sébastien Jodoin, Anne-Sophie Hulin and Justice Louise Provost.

Sébastien Jodoin (first photo) joined the Faculty as Assistant Professor on August 1st. Professor Jodoin is currently completing a PhD in environmental studies (law and public policy) at Yale, where is also a Faculty Associate of the Governance, Environment & Markets Initiative.

William Tetley (1927 – 2014)

It is with sadness that the Faculty announces the death of Professor William Tetley, C.M., Q.C., LL.L., who passed away, surrounded by his family, on July 1, 2014.

A world-renowned expert in maritime law, Professor Tetley led an extremely full life.
