Resources and Services

The Morgan Arboretum is Montreal's oldest growth forest.

Students at the Macdonald Campus benefit from easy access to essential student services, such as housing, financial and personal counselling, and 24-hour computer classrooms, and a wide array of study and recreational facilities such as the Morgan Arboretum, the oldest growth forest on the island of Montreal, the McGill University Herbarium, the oldest major herbarium in the country, the Lyman Entomological Museum, which at 2.8 million specimens is the largest university-based insect collection in the country, and a university farm which includes a commercial-scale dairy, arable land, and swine and poultry operations.

On top of outstanding science laboratories for all programs, students and staff at Macdonald Campus benefit from an affiliation with Valacta and the Ecomuseum, a natural habitat for the observation of indigenous wildlife species.
