From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Graduate Studies in Panama

The Neotropical Environment Option (NEO) is offered within the Ph.D., M.Sc. and M.A. programs in Biosystems Engineering, Biology, Geography, Natural Resource Sciences, Plant Science, Political Science and Sociology. This option is a joint offering between McGill University's School of Environment and the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI) in Panama.

NEO is aimed at students who wish to focus their graduate research on environmental issues relevant to the Neotropics and Latin American countries. Students should expect to reside in Panama or tropical Latin America for a period of one year.

Students accepted to the NEO option program are eleigible for several entrance fellowships. For more information consult the NEO website.
