Born in the vibrant heart of Colombia to a dynamic duo—a Canadian father and a Colombian mother—Eliana’s life has been a colorful mosaic of experiences across seven different countries. This global upbringing has gifted her a profound appreciation for diversity and an uncanny ability to adapt to any new situation or challenge that comes her way.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the esteemed McGill University, and she further honed her educational expertise by earning a Certificate in Education and Pedagogy from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellin, Colombia.

Eliana's passion for community development and social impact is the driving force behind her professional endeavors. She has worn many hats—teacher, apprentice social worker, and now, for almost six years, the dedicated Program Advisor for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at McGill. In this role, Eliana finds immense joy and inspiration from working alongside brilliant and motivated individuals, continuously learning from their experiences and stories.

Eliana’s love for her job is palpable, as it combines her commitment to education, community building, and the celebration of diverse cultures. Her professional journey is a testament to the power of adaptability, empathy, and the relentless pursuit of making a positive impact in the world.
